Job description

Job Summary:

The Manager of Community Relations will play a pivotal role in fostering and managing key community partnerships across all WMC Health locations by coordinating with clinical service lines to attend community events, organize public health education forums and clinics, and represent WMCHealth at various community functions. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, a passion for community engagement, and a commitment to promoting public health.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Community Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, local businesses, and other stakeholders to support WMCHealth's mission and goals.
  2. Coordinate Clinical Service Lines: Work closely with WMCHealth clinical departments to ensure their participation in community events, health education forums, and clinics.
  3. Public Health Education: Organize and oversee public health education initiatives, including workshops, seminars, and informational sessions, to promote health and wellness in the community.
  4. Event Representation: Represent WMCHealth at community functions, including health fairs, community meetings, and other public events, to enhance the organization's visibility and reputation.
  5. Community Outreach: Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage diverse community groups and address their healthcare needs.
  6. Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)/Community Service Plan (CSP): Collaborate with County Departments of Health, local provider organizations, and internal WMCHealth clinical stakeholders to conduct and develop the CHNA/CSP.
  7. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on community relations activities, outcomes, and impact, and present findings to senior management.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in community relations, public relations, or a similar role, preferably within a healthcare or community-based organization setting.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  3. Licenses / Certifications: (Specify if applicable)
