Job Description:

The Dental Hygiene Department at Farmingdale State College seeksto fill a professional staff position as Manager of Clinical Operations.

Duties include:

  • Supervision of students.
  • Scheduling patients, maintain recall system.
  • Collection of clinic and radiology fees and daily reconciliation of accounts receivables.
  • Purchasing of clinical supplies/manages clinical supply inventory.
  • Troubleshooting ADEC equipment, Patterson Eaglesoft and Dexis Digital Imaging Systems.
  • Supervision of instructional support staff.
  • Oversee budget administration of external grant funding.

Additional duties include participation in the continuing education program, attendance at OSAP conferences, and oversight of program assessments including the annual chart review.

This position requires the availability to work nights as needed to meet operational requirements.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of five years' experience as a dental hygienist with practice management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of standard infection control protocols and knowledge of standards in disinfection and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment.
  • Experience in the use of electronic health records, and strong computer skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work with diverse populations including, students, faculty and the general public.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Experience with resin sealants, glass ionomer sealants, intraoral cameras, CariVu , air polisher and Hu-Friedy air flow.


Additional Information:

This is a full-time UUP position.

  • For the first 10 working days, beginning ThursdayMay 22, 2025,and ending Thursday, June 5, 2025, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.
  • SALARY: $65,000 + $3,400in downstate location pay = $68,400Total Compensation. Salary may increase commensurate with experience.
  • ANTICIPATED START DATE:July 1, 2025
