Base pay range
$130,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr
Job Summary: Our prestigious client that is in list of Am Law 100 firm, is actively seeking a Manager of Unified Communications to drive the strategic vision, implementation, and ongoing management of the firm's unified communications infrastructure. This leadership role will be instrumental in enhancing the organization's communication capabilities across platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 (including Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint), and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Unified Communications Management:
- Lead the administration, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft Teams, including chat, video conferencing, telephony, and PSTN integration.
- Manage Microsoft 365 email systems and OneDrive for Business, ensuring availability, security, and compliance.
- Oversee and support the ongoing transition from Cisco CUCM to Microsoft Teams Calling.
2. Migration & Cloud Transformation:- Drive the migration of collaboration tools from on-premise environments to modern cloud-based platforms.
- Oversee the transition from Cisco telephony systems to Microsoft Teams Calling with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Ensure smooth integration across all systems during migration.
3. Team Leadership:- Manage and mentor a growing team of 4–8 IT professionals, ensuring performance excellence, skill development, and alignment with strategic goals.
4. Strategic Planning & Innovation:- Develop a forward-looking unified communications roadmap aligned with the firm's IT and business objectives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends to enhance the firm's communication infrastructure.
5. Operational Excellence:- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all communication systems.
- Monitor systems for compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:- Work closely with IT leadership and other departments to understand business needs and align communication tools accordingly.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex technical issues.
7. End-User Support & Training:- Oversee user onboarding and training related to communication platforms.
- Support helpdesk functions and ensure timely resolution of user issues.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Candidates
must demonstrate a stable, permanent work history (no temp or short-term contract roles). Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
Required Experience & Skills:- Minimum of 7 years of IT experience, with a primary focus on unified communications and collaboration tools.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 administration, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).
- Proven experience with cloud migrations, especially transitioning from Cisco CUCM to Microsoft Teams Calling.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 apps including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams Admin Center, and Exchange Online.
- Strong understanding of telephony infrastructure, including how calls are routed across large-scale enterprise networks.
- Prior experience managing technical teams.
- Experience working with cloud environments such as Azure and/or AWS is highly preferred.
Education:- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications:- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate.
- Cisco CCNP Collaboration.
