Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director with all departmental activities to ensure coordinated efforts aligned with the hospital's long-term plan, mission, vision, and values.
  • Coordinate the department’s participation in Performance Improvement initiatives to promote continuous Quality Improvement.
  • Ensure nursing care is based on the nursing process and evaluate its effectiveness regularly.
  • Provide clinical support and guidance to nursing staff.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of recent (within the last year) acute care leadership experience in Med-Surg.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Current RN license in Texas or Multi-State Compact (employees with a Compact License must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire).
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
