CommonSpirit Health seeks a Nursing Manager in Los Angeles to lead and mentor our Registered Nurses, oversee clinical operations, and champion patient‑centered care at California Hospital Medical Center.

You will drive professional development, align unit goals with hospital strategy, and foster accountability and clear communication across shifts and teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
  • One (1) year of leadership experience.
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the resources and daily activities of a nursing department while ensuring environmental factors support high standards of patient care.
  • Assists in the training and development of new and existing staff members.
  • Creates and maintains an environment that is conducive to learning transfer.
  • Coordinates the activities of the unit for each shift and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff.
  • Provides patient care as needed.

Every day, you will lead and mentor Registered Nurses, oversee clinical operations, and advocate for patient and team needs, driving professional development and achieving unit goals.

To be successful in this role, you will embody accountability and confidence with superior communication skills for all interactions. You'll skillfully navigate challenges, ensuring individual performance and overall unit success.
