We are continuing to strengthen the team and our operating practices, with a focus on ownership, accountability, collaboration, and transparent delivery performance.

About the Role

As Manager of the North American Project Management Office, you will lead and develop a team of project managers, including employees and contractors, and oversee the end-to-end delivery of the project portfolio. You will be accountable for team performance, project assignment alignment, portfolio health, and delivery transparency, ensuring programs and projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while achieving defined client and business outcomes. You will also help advance PMO maturity by improving tools, processes, governance, service frameworks, and team effectiveness without creating unnecessary process overhead.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and driving accountability for delivery outcomes and professional growth.
  • Foster a high-performing culture grounded in ownership, accountability, collaboration, respect, and professional communication.
  • Own project assignment decisions, align resources to project needs and priorities, and balance workloads to support delivery effectiveness and utilization.
  • Oversee portfolio delivery against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and defined client and business outcomes.
  • Monitor portfolio health, capacity, financial performance, risks, gaps, and opportunities, including revenue, margin, and delivery costs.
  • Ensure project data, reporting, and documentation are accurate, complete, timely, consistent, and audit-ready across Adaptive Work and other required tools and templates.
  • Provide consolidated portfolio reporting and executive-level insights that support informed decision-making and proactive risk management.
  • Define and manage escalation processes, ensuring risks and issues are identified early, documented clearly, assigned appropriately, and driven to resolution.
  • Partner with Sales and Professional Services during pre-delivery phases to align project scope, assumptions, and delivery plans.
  • Guide project managers through blockers and complex cross-functional delivery challenges while reinforcing disciplined execution and follow-through.
  • Ensure requirements are defined, aligned, traceable, and validated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure appropriate project assurance and quality practices are applied, including reviews and validation to confirm delivery remains on track.
  • Ensure projects are effectively closed, including completion of documentation, transition to business-as-usual operations, and capture of lessons learned.
  • Drive adoption of standard tools, templates, methodologies, governance, and reporting practices across the team.
  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance the scalability, consistency, and effectiveness of the PMO, and share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Project or Program Management, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management, including experience leading teams or managing project portfolios.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams, drive accountability, and foster a positive, high-performing culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Professional Services, Sales, Product, and other internal stakeholders to drive alignment and execution.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear, concise, and professional updates, escalations, and portfolio insights to senior leadership.
  • Experience with project management and reporting tools such as Adaptive Work, JIRA, or similar platforms, with a focus on reporting consistency, data accuracy, and portfolio visibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex risks and escalations, maintain appropriate documentation, and drive resolution across cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to build relationships and lead across teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on clarity, professionalism, and executive presence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, organizational, and judgment skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive outcomes.
