Your Impact

Axon’s Software Services Team is seeking a Manager to lead our UCR (Uniform Crime Reporting System) team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives, operational objectives, and work plans that enhance Axon’s public safety technology products. This Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring the success of NIBRS data integrations and compliance with state and federal reporting standards.

What You’ll Do

Location: Remote within the United States
Reports to: Sr Manager, NIBRS
Direct Reports: 5-8 UCR Specialists

  • Establish and execute strategic initiatives for Axon’s NIBRS and other uniform reporting programs to ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.
  • Develop and implement operational objectives, budgets, schedules, and performance metrics for the NIBRS team.
  • Lead and mentor a team of specialists, customer support analysts and support engineers, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Regularly interact with senior leadership and executive stakeholders to communicate key insights, challenges, and solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in NIBRS data validation, submission, and reporting frameworks.
  • Partner with internal teams, law enforcement agencies, and state program coordinators to enhance public safety data accessibility and usability.
  • Influence technical and business decisions by providing in-depth analysis and innovative solutions to NIBRS challenges.
  • Drive process improvements and policy modifications to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the NIBRS team and across related functions.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of automated data pipelines that support Axon’s system integrations, data management, and analytics solutions.
What You Bring
  • Proven experience leading large-scale NIBRS initiatives at the state or agency level, with a strategic focus on compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in policy development, regulatory compliance, and public safety technology integration.
  • Strong technical understanding of NIBRS, including experience with validation and reporting requirements.
  • Proven leadership in managing stakeholders, driving executive alignment, and leading cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of system integrations, data processing, and analytics within public safety or government sectors.
  • Experience managing budgets, operational metrics, and process improvements at scale.
  • Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check and maintain confidential and highly sensitive information.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, with base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 99,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 158,400 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay depends on factors such as level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, geographic market, and business needs.
