Lead the technology that keeps Nebraska Medicine connected. Nebraska Medicine is looking for an experienced Manager, Network & Unified Communications to lead the engineering and operations of enterprise networking and unified communications across Nebraska Medicine and UNMC. This is an opportunity to lead highly technical teams responsible for the connectivity and communication services that support patient care, education, research, and critical business operations across a complex, multi-site environment. In this role, you’ll balance 24/7 operational reliability with modernization and long-term strategy, leading efforts across enterprise networking, wireless, SD-WAN, data center and cloud connectivity, VoIP, collaboration, and contact center technologies. You’ll partner closely with Information Security, Platform Engineering, Data Center Operations, clinical and academic stakeholders, vendors, and IT leadership to strengthen resiliency, reduce technical debt, and build the digital foundation for the future. If you are a hands‑on technical leader who can guide engineers through complex challenges, drive modernization while keeping critical services running, and translate technology strategy into reliable outcomes, we’d love to hear from you. Manager Network & Unified Communications Engineering Candidate must live in Nebraska or Iowa. This is a hybrid position, must be able to work on campus. Preferred consideration will be given to applicants with Cisco collaboration/voice certifications; CCNP/CCIE or equivalent networking certifications; Palo Alto, ITIL, or PMP experience; cloud networking experience with Azure, AWS, hybrid connectivity, segmentation, or automation.
