Nebraska Medicine seeks a seasoned Manager to lead Network & Unified Communications Engineering across our multi-site health network. You’ll guide enterprise data networking, VoIP, collaboration platforms, and contact center technologies, balancing reliability with modernization to support patient care, education, and research.

In this role you’ll oversee 24x7 operations, partner with IT leadership and security, manage budgets, and mentor technical teams to deliver secure, resilient connectivity

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years progressive network/voice engineering experience, multi-site environments.
  • Minimum 3 years leading technical teams with 24x7 accountability.
  • Hands-on expertise with routing/switching, wireless, SD-WAN, load-balancing, DNS/DHCP, SIP trunking, QoS, UC/collaboration.
  • Experience with contact center platforms and call-flow/IVR design.
  • Mastery of ITIL processes and service reporting.
  • Vendor management and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering and operations of enterprise networking and UC across Nebraska Medicine and UNMC.
  • Own strategy, reliability, and lifecycle of LAN/WAN, wireless, data center and cloud networking, VoIP, collaboration, and contact centers.
  • Ensure secure, resilient connectivity enabling patient care, education and research.
  • Collaborate with Security, Platform Engineering, and IT leadership to modernize while keeping services running.
