Job summary

Otis Elevator Company is seeking a Modernization Superintendent to oversee repair work and manage field operations, while coordinating staffing, training and safety across multiple modernization sites.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in the elevator industry, strong communication, and the ability to travel as required within the territory. High school education is required; BA/BS preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct field operations for a large volume of non-contract repair and hydraulic elevator modernization.
• Modernization sales support, route control, scheduling and quality assurance.
• Maintaining customer quality assurance; emphasis on safety, improving efficiencies, managing labor and materials.
• Coordinate daily activities with the branch project manager and work with general contractors, owner’s agency and developers.
• Provide technical support.
• Authorize change orders and drive safety in the workplace.

Job Responsibilities:

• Must have the ability to lead and direct the field operations for a large volume of non-contract repair and hydraulic elevator modernization
• Modernization sales support, route control, scheduling and quality assurance
• Maintaining customer quality assurance; emphasis on safety, improving efficiencies, managing the expenditure of labor, materials and performance to estimate
• Ability to coordinate daily activities with the branch's project manager and work well with general contractors, owner's agency and developers for various modernization sites
• Providing technical support
• Authorizing change orders
• Drive safety in the workplace

Experience/Qualifications:

4+ years of Elevator industry experience is required; field experience is preferred Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment Self-motivated individuals who have the ability to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities are a must Candidates must have strong computer skills Travel is required within your territory, driver's license as required for your territory High school education required; BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience (at least 5 years)
