Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah, seeks a Program Mission Assurance Manager 2 to support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This full-time role requires a Secret clearance and offers relocation assistance.

You will lead MA activities, perform technical reviews, maintain the Sentinel Program Quality Plan, and coordinate with suppliers and program reviews. The role emphasizes leadership, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.
  • Must be a US citizen with an active US Government Secret Clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain Enhanced Security Clearance in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Support Mission Assurance functions to ensure mission success.
  • Perform technical reviews of Sentinel drawings, SOWs, and requirements.
  • Ensure MA, quality, risk, safety and reliability of Sentinel tasking.
  • Lead MA oversight for program reviews and design/test readiness activities.
  • Identify MA and QA resource requirements for mission success.
  • Develop and maintain the Sentinel Program Quality Plan.
  • Lead FRBs/MRBs with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and execute PCAB; develop program metrics.
  • Support PMR packages and supplier MA oversight.
  • Mentor MA/QA engineers and manage performance.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Program Mission Assurance Manager 2. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do
  • Support Mission Assurance (MA) functions to ensure mission success
  • Perform technical reviews of all Sentinel drawings, SOW’s, and Requirements documents as required.
  • Perform or assure quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of Sentinel tasking.
  • Provide MA leadership and oversight to critical program reviews including design reviews, test readiness reviews, certifications and sell offs.
  • Identify MA and Quality resource requirements to ensure mission success.
  • Assist the SEIT Segment lead with all Sentinel Mission Assurance /Program Management requirements.
  • Develop, implement and maintain the Sentinel Program Quality Plan.
  • Lead/facilitate segment level FRBs and MRBs ensuring identification of root cause and proper implementation of corrective actions and reach back and reach across.
  • Lead preparation and execution of Program Preventive and Corrective Action Board (PCAB). Develop and maintain Segment level Program Metrics.
  • Support preparation of Program Management Review packages.
  • Support Supplier Mission Assurance with technical expertise and oversight of suppliers
  • Provide guidance and expertise to supporting professional development of MA & QA engineers.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree and 8+ years of relevant professional experience or Masters in 6 years
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active US Government Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
  • Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time
These Qualifications Are Nice To Have
  • Experience managing people preferred.
  • Experience in System Engineering, Integration & Test
  • Experience with ICBM Systems
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and accomplish them simultaneously

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
