Job Summary

The Manager of the Microsoft Business Development Team is responsible for managing the daily operations of the team, which focuses on acquiring new customers for SHI’s Microsoft accounts. This role involves driving new meetings and securing wins within Microsoft prospects. The person will also train, mentor, and coach the team to ensure a memorable customer experience during onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Microsoft Solutions & Sales Management to set quarterly priorities based on current business needs.
  • Drive growth by profiling, qualifying, and prospecting into new accounts.
  • Ensure prospecting into enterprise accounts through cold calling, emailing, and securing new opportunities and meetings.
  • Stay informed about company, competition, and technology developments.
  • Build relationships with Microsoft Solutions Teams to enhance engagement.
  • Serve as a point of contact and escalation for customer issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Microsoft platform offerings and develop subject matter expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 1 year of sales management or team leadership experience.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Microsoft products, licensing strategies, and competitive sales.

Certifications

  • Achieve MCP and Azure Fundamentals certifications within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred certifications include MS-900 and AZ-900.

Unique Requirements

  • Position requires 10% travel.

Additional Information

  • Estimated annual pay ranges from $100,000 to $220,000, including base salary and commission, depending on experience and location.
  • Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
