Job summary

Prisma Health in Columbia, SC seeks a program manager to lead youth development and teen pregnancy prevention efforts across Richland and Lexington counties. You will partner with schools, community groups and hospital staff to plan, implement and evaluate curricula.

Ideal candidate holds a Master’s in social work or public health, with at least three years in healthcare-related program management, plus CHES or LMSW preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel monthly to assess, support and evaluate programs.
• Attend monthly meetings with other Community Services managers to collaborate.
• Create program documents for tracking outreach participation.

Job Summary

Works with hospital staff, schools, community partners and other personnel to manage youth development and educational programs. Manages the planning and implementation of teen pregnancy prevention programs in Richland and Lexington counties.

Essential Functions

• Manage and oversee teen pregnancy prevention programming for over 30 schools.
• Serve as primary liaison to all schools and community organizations conducting teen pregnancy prevention programs in Richland and Lexington counties.
• Train community and faith-based organizations to conduct teen pregnancy prevention programs throughout Richland and Lexington Counties.
• Plan, develop and facilitate curriculum and program trainings. Developed and implement faith-based curriculum. Organize program curricula and schedules.
• Manage Community Advocates. Facilitate hiring and exiting process of Community Advocates.
• Coordinate and conduct monthly Community Advocate staff meetings.
• Present at local and national conferences. Coordinate and conduct community presentations.
• Collaborate with local and national health educators to better serve target population. Coordinate annual statewide teen conference.
• Travel monthly to assess, support and evaluate teen pregnancy prevention program(s). Plan yearly orientation for community and school partnerships.
• Attend monthly meetings with other Community Services managers to collaborate on joint projects. Coordinate evening and weekend events for targeted areas.
• Created program documents for efficiency and effectiveness of tracking outreach program participation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health Company or affiliate and will have direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

• Education - Master’s degree. Degree in social work, public health or related field of study preferred.
• Experience - Three (3) years in a health care related field required. Demonstrated experience and expertise in teen pregnancy program planning, implementation and management.
