Job summary

Pernod Ricard USA is seeking a Manager, Master Planning to lead end-to-end production and materials planning at our Fort Smith facility. The role drives master production schedules, optimizes capacity and inventory, and partners with multiple functions to achieve service targets.

Responsibilities include developing short- and long-range plans, overseeing material planning, and coaching planners. Strong ERP and MRP knowledge with leadership experience are required; hybrid work options are

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, industrial engineering, business or related field.
  • At least 7 years of production-planning or master-planning experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership of planners or schedulers.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, capacity planning and inventory management.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE or similar) and Excel.
  • Preferred: alcoholic-beverage bottling or high-mix SKU environments.
  • Preferred: experience with NPI, line expansions or new product introductions.
  • Preferred: APICS/ASCM or equivalent CPIM/CSCP certification.
  • Preferred: participation in S&OP/IBP processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the master production plan and balance demand, capacity, materials, labor and inventory to achieve customer service, cost and operational targets.
  • Develop and maintain short-, mid- and long-range production schedules (weekly, monthly, annual); evaluate constraints and mitigate for new SKUs or plant changes.
  • Direct raw, packaging and indirect material planning, ensuring availability while maintaining inventory targets and minimizing obsolescence.
  • Oversee detailed production scheduling and line sequencing; partner with operations to manage changeovers, downtime and recovery plans.
  • Lead, coach and develop Materials Planners and Production Scheduler, setting clear roles and continuous-improvement practices.
  • Act as the primary planning interface with Demand Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance and Operations, supporting S&OP/IBP processes and monthly site reviews.
  • Define and track KPIs such as service level, schedule adherence, plan attainment, inventory turns and capacity utilisation; conduct root-cause analysis and drive improvement of planning systems and data accuracy.

Job description

Salary: $81,040 – $101,300 per year.
