Job description

Overview

WSP is seeking a Marketing Manager to support and advance strategic marketing and communications initiatives in our New York office. The role provides leadership in developing high‑quality marketing deliverables, strengthening client and internal relationships, and driving excellence in communications that support project pursuits, brand positioning, and business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for marketing efforts related to proposals, qualifications, interviews, and client‑facing materials.
  • Manage the full life cycle of pursuits from capture planning through interview and post‑submission activities.
  • Develop win strategies and themes, draft persuasive content, edit and integrate contributions from subject matter experts (SMEs), and ensure brand consistency.
  • Develop work plans and manage marketing activities within established schedules.
  • Coordinate input and align deliverables across sales, marketing, finance, legal, product, and technical teams.
  • Manage the review process, including color team reviews, finalize deliverables, and oversee compliant and timely submissions.
  • Coach and prepare technical teams and presenters for client interviews and presentations.
  • Ensure high‑quality written, verbal, and visual communications tailored to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical teams, leadership, and business partners to deliver integrated and differentiated marketing solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships that support business development efforts.
  • Stay current on marketing best practices, emerging trends, and innovative tools or approaches.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of junior marketing staff.
Qualifications
  • 7–10 years of experience, preferably in the Engineering/Architecture industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Post‑graduate education (Master’s or PhD) preferred, as applicable.
  • Professional certifications and enhancing credentials are a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Well‑developed knowledge of state‑of‑practice marketing and communications principles, with exposure to innovative and emerging approaches.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex deliverables using sound analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience developing and managing high‑quality professional and technical marketing deliverables.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on industry trends and best practices.
  • Participation in industry events, conferences, speaking engagements, or published articles is strongly encouraged.
  • Ongoing pursuit of additional education, certifications, and professional development.
