Department: LNG Operations

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: US TX Houston - Technip Office

Description
About Us:
The Caturus platform founded by Kimmeridge – an alternative asset manager focused on the energy sector – supports Kimmeridge’s overarching goal of providing low-cost energy on demand with the lowest carbon footprint.

Kimmeridge’s vision in creating Caturus is to build the only independent, fully integrated natural gas and LNG export platform in the U.S. through a combination of its upstream operations and via Commonwealth LNG, a 9.5 million tonnes per annum liquefied natural gas export terminal in southwestern Louisiana on the U.S. Gulf Coast. The combined entities are committed to delivering responsibly sourced, low-emission fuel to domestic and international markets.

Caturus is a Houston-based, private exploration and production company seeking to materially grow production through development of deep, high pressure, dry gas windows of the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk, as well as Haynesville formations located in Texas and Louisiana while maintaining a relentless focus on safety.

Commonwealth LNG was founded by industry veterans who decided to re-engineer the LNG construction model. Using proven best practices, Commonwealth is committed to building a world-class LNG export facility while focusing on safety, managing risk and achieving best-in-class environmental standards.
Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Maintenance to join our team. The Manager, Maintenance will lead the site Maintenance Execution organization and own the delivery of safe, disciplined, CMMS-based (Computerized Maintenance Management System) maintenance from commissioning through first gas and into steady-state operation. The role is accountable for turning approved technical content into executable work, keeping the plant maintainable and available against the RAM availability basis (96.6%, with a long-term 99.5% ambition, to be confirmed against the O&M Philosophy / RAM study). As the senior owner of the Maintenance Execution lane, the role also owns the Maintenance Commissioning Readiness Plan — ensuring Maintenance is ready for first gas and for handover into long-term care.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Safe & Disciplined Execution: Routine maintenance is executed safely and to standard across all disciplines (mechanical, rotating, electrical, I&E/analyzer), with visible field leadership, stop-work authority, and permit‑to‑work / LOTO discipline embedded through readiness, commissioning, start‑up, and steady‑state.
  • Planning, Scheduling & Work Management: Approved technical content is converted into quality CMMS job plans, intervals, work orders, and weekly/monthly schedules; backlog is controlled, schedule compliance is tracked, and material readiness is confirmed before work is released.
  • CMMS & Asset Data Integrity: The asset hierarchy, equipment master data, PM loading, BOM linkage, and failure history are built and governed so that work management, cost capture, and readiness reporting are accurate and auditable.
  • Materials & Spares Readiness: Critical spares, kitting, preservation, and urgent field purchasing are in place so that execution is not constrained by materials — through commissioning peaks and into operations.
  • Commissioning & First‑Gas Readiness: The Maintenance Commissioning Readiness Plan is owned end-to-end: system walkdowns, preservation, turnover, punch‑list review, PM activation, spares and vendor readiness, PSSR support, and transition to steady‑state — with issues risk‑ranked and closed or formally risk‑accepted before first gas.
  • Cost Control & Opex Governance: The maintenance cost‑control operating rhythm is owned: CMMS cost‑coding discipline, contractor/vendor spend review, field‑buying control, Opex/Capex separation, forecasting, and monthly cost review with Finance, Supply Chain, and Maintenance leadership.
  • Lifting & Rigging Support: Safe mobile‑crane and rigging support is available for routine maintenance, commissioning, start‑up, sustaining Capex, and outage lifting needs, within certification, competency, and site lifting rules.
  • Team Capability & Leadership: A Maintenance Execution organization with the competency, coverage model, and operating discipline required for commissioning, first gas, and steady‑state operation is built and sustained, in line with the roadmap staffing timeline.
  • Readiness‑Gate & Roadmap Alignment: Maintenance Execution deliverables meet the roadmap readiness gates and stay aligned with the O&M Philosophy, RAM availability basis, Project/CSU schedule, and CMMS structure.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical maintenance‑leadership experience.
Experience:
  • Significant maintenance‑management experience in LNG, gas processing, petrochemical, refining, or power — including new‑plant commissioning, start‑up, or major project handover.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong command of CMMS work management: asset hierarchy, PM development, job plans, scheduling, backlog, and cost capture.
  • Proven leadership of multi‑discipline maintenance teams and management of OEM/vendor and contractor support.
  • Strong understanding of MOC, PTW/LOTO, safety‑critical equipment, and maintenance cost control / Opex governance.
  • Owner‑led mindset with strong safety leadership and operating discipline.
  • Builds and develops teams, works effectively across Operations, Engineering, Reliability,
  • Project/CSU, and support functions, and holds vendors and contractors to account.
  • Converts complex readiness requirements into executable plans, communicates clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and makes calm, structured decisions under commissioning and start‑up pressure.
