Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or engineering degree preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree – Technical or higher is expected.
• Management or Plastics Engineering background advantageous.
• Master’s Degree is desirable.
• Experience can substitute for formal education.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a cohesive team for technical employees focused on safety, quality, service, and efficiency.
• Drive and apply lean principles to maintenance processes to minimize waste and increase throughput.
• Use data collection to evaluate unplanned downtime and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain monthly R&M spend for the facility.
• Organize and track capital projects.
• Maintain production standards and measurement systems as required.
• Promote employee engagement activities to create and maintain a positive work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

About The Opportunity

Manage all aspects of the technical department including managing maintenance costs, contractor-performed maintenance, regular and preventive maintenance, and new equipment installations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Build and lead a cohesive team for technical employees focused on company objectives of safety, quality, service, and efficiency.

2. Drive and apply lean principles to the maintenance processes to minimize waste and increase the throughput.

3. Use data collection processes to evaluate unplanned downtime and implement corrective actions.

4. Maintain monthly R&M spend for the facility.

5. Organize and track capital projects.

6. Maintain production standards and measurement systems as required.

7. Promote employee engagement activities to create and maintain a positive work environment.

8. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification:
