Job description

The Maintenance Manager position is responsible for directing maintenance operations across assigned facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient asset performance, while leading maintenance programs, asset integrity, and regulatory compliance.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager position is responsible for directing maintenance operations across assigned facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient asset performance, while leading maintenance programs, asset integrity, and regulatory compliance.

General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the safe and reliable operation of aboveground storage tanks, pumps, valves, piping, and associated systems.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate direct reports to drive performance, accountability, and a strong safety culture.
  • Oversee budgeting, cost estimates, and repair costs for maintenance programs and facilities.
  • Serve as the DOT Operator Qualification (OQ) qualifier for direct reports, ensuring employees are trained, evaluated, and certified in applicable covered tasks.
  • Prepare supporting documentation required for annual budget development.
  • Deliver project outputs (cost estimates, scopes, schedules, designs, budgets, and forecasts) to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal shared service teams, including engineering, corrosion, and tank departments, to support regional project planning and execution.
  • Provide clear and timely status reports on maintenance and construction activities.
  • Manage subcontractors on site, including but not limited to assisting with the preparation of proper work permits, conducting contractor safety meetings, ensuring all work is done in accordance with Company and applicable regulatory requirements and project scope, and the monitoring of asset, personnel and contractor safety.
  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to support asset reliability and integrity.
  • Manage maintenance workflows within CMMS (Fiix or similar), including work order creation, planning, scheduling, prioritization, and closure to ensure efficient execution and accurate documentation.
  • Represent the Maintenance Department in interactions with employees, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, compliance, and project records, ensuring data integrity, proper documentation, and audit readiness in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • This position is subject to DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Requirements.
Position Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Working knowledge of regulations and operations relevant to pipeline and terminal operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of DOT-PHMSA regulations, including Pipeline ROW as it relates to the facility.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to develop teams, drive accountability, and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) systems.
  • Understanding of pipeline and terminal equipment, maintenance issues, and the available resources to assist.
  • Ability to plan, organize, document, prioritize, and complete work efficiently.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and other technical/mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent management skills, and demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and direct staff and subordinate staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command of grammar and the ability to effectively present information to all levels of management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly and make sound decisions in a collaborative culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Project professionalism at all times and maintain a high professional standard.
  • Candidate must reside within a 45-mile radius of Collins, MS.
Experience/Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in combination of operations, maintenance, and engineering programs in facilities representative of the operations of this Company is required.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential Card (TWIC).
Travel

Up to 10% travel is required. Requires the ability to travel to field locations where the environment may vary significantly.
