Centene is seeking a 'Manager, LTSS Clinical Care Management - RN' to oversee a diverse care management team ensuring quality and compliance for our members' healthcare needs. Clinical RN Manager - LTSS Clinical Care - manage a team of RNs, Social Workers, Clinical Support Staff - Austin and San Antonio,TX
NOTE: Must be able to travel and supervise field visits throughout Central Texas near Austin and San Antonio,
Position Purpose: Manages the care management team of licensed physical and/or behavioral health clinicians that serve long-term care members with physical/medical health needs and/or behavioral/mental health needs to develop and assess high quality, cost-effective healthcare outcomes. Manages escalations and care management issues related to members or providers.
Education/Experience: Positions overseeing RN and BH team members: Requires Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing or a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years of supervisory experience or more is preferred.
Highly advanced clinical knowledge and ability to assess member needs in context of relevant diagnoses, treatment plans and goals, and identify potential gaps in care or risks for readmission or complications is preferred.
Strong knowledge of healthcare managed care principles is preferred.
Experience working with providers and healthcare teams to develop appropriate long-term service plans/care plans is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medication indications and side effects and/or knowledge of BH care management principles is preferred.
License/Certification:
Current state's Registered Nurse (RN) license Upon Hire required
For Superior: Resource Utilization Group (RUG) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Must be RUG certified if overseeing RN team members
