Manager, Lifecycle Communications - Remote

MINT MOBILE is seeking a talented Manager, Lifecycle Communications to join the Marketing Team! Individual reports to Senior Manager, Email & Personalization. Role is remote; must reside in the United States.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager of Lifecycle Communications will be an integral member of the Content Strategy team, managing subscriber communications for Mint Mobile. This person will help strategize and execute communication programs to support, engage, and retain Mint Mobile subscribers. They will champion the brand story throughout the subscriber lifecycle. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of customer behavior who is obsessed with brand storytelling and creating a positive customer experience. They know the importance of delivering the right message, in the right way, at the right time.

Your usual day of awesomeness includes:

  • Help develop strategy for and lead execution of a comprehensive communication program across lifecycle channels, including email and SMS, in-app messaging, push notifications, and others
  • Manage the lifecycle communications calendar, ensuring all projects are effectively prioritized based on KPIs and internal scoring systems and that timelines are met
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for all lifecycle communications in the catalog, knowing the details of existing communications
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to identify key lifecycle moments and opportunities to support, educate, and retain subscribers proactively to drive performance metrics; partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize, test, and deploy communications
  • Draft communications requirements for new programs, including defining necessary communication touch points, key messages, and tactics with an understanding of technical capabilities
  • Partner with internal creative agency to oversee all aspects of the asset creation process (e.g., briefing copy and design teams, reviewing creative with input from key stakeholders, and providing actionable creative feedback)
  • Identify and execute tactics to create personalization while creating operational efficiencies, including leveraging CRM capabilities like content blocks, liquid logic etc.
  • Possess a deep understanding of segmentation and personalization to define messages that speak to a subscriber in the right way at the right time
  • Champion the brand story, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and aligns with all brand guidelines
  • Build regular performance reports, monitor and communicate KPIs and analyze data to understand behavior, recognize trends, hypothesize outcomes and inform action
  • Illustrate a deep understanding of best practices for messaging across email, SMS, in-app, and push communications.
  • Keep informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, etc. apply insights to strategy

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP

  • Motivate and guide direct report(s), creating an environment where team members understand the vision and strategy
  • Provide training and development to direct report(s) and those under the span of control
  • Set team and individual goals and KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals
  • Provide regular performance feedback to direct report(s), including opportunities for career and personal development
  • Mentor and empower employees by allowing them to own their responsibilities while providing regular feedback and coaching

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 4+ years of direct experience in lifecycle, CRM or retention marketing preferred
  • Proven experience crafting customer-first messaging across email and SMS
  • Experience working on a variety of lifecycle campaigns with a strong grasp of content development workflows and communication tactics.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo) to deliver personalized experiences at scale
  • Experience with A/B testing and optimizing for performance metrics (CTR, CVR, retention, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to distill complex processes into user-friendly content.
  • Experience analyzing performance and reporting out on results to varied audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize without missing a beat.
