Job summary

BGBx is a hybrid US-based firm with offices in Washington, DC, New York City, and Boston. The Manager, Life Sciences Strategy Consulting will manage multiple engagements, set schedules, and mentor consultants while engaging with clients directly.

The role requires 5–6 years in strategy consulting or market research, with healthcare experience preferred in pharma, biotech, or medical devices. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years of strategy consulting, market research, or other relevant project-based work experience.
• B.S. or B.A degree from a top four-year college or university in Science, Health, or Business concentration.
• Ph.D. or Master’s degree preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred at either of the following: A leading management consulting firm, Pharmaceutical, BioTech, or Medical Device company preferably in Strategy, Marketing, Operations, or Business Development function.
• Business research and analysis experience, with demonstrated ability to synthesize data and draw accurate, logical conclusions.
• Demonstrated experience successfully leading workstreams and small project teams.
• Demonstrated experience working and presenting to senior business leaders.
• Foreign language skills preferred, but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent people management skills

• Act as a key point of contact between the team, senior officers of the firm, and clients

BGBx Consulting provides strategic support to executives at leading Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies.

The primary role of a Manager, Life Sciences Strategy Consulting is to handle the day-to-day management of multiple engagements at a time. Managers set the project schedule, provide direction to the consultants on the projects, and serve as a coach and mentor to consultants. Managers may act as the primary contact for the client and are expected to be able to engage with the client independently on day-to-day matters. Managers support business development by providing consistent project delivery with repeat clients and may support the full lifecycle of BD activities as directed by practice leaders.

This position is hybrid in one of our US offices: Washington, D.C., New York City, or Boston.

Salary range: $160,000 plus bonus eligible
