Job Summary & Objectives

The Manager, Legal Talent Technology & Analytics will be a key contributor to the successful launch, operation, and ongoing enhancement of the Firm’s learning management system, helping to deliver a seamless, scalable, and engaging experience for learners and administrators. This role offers a meaningful opportunity for a solutions-oriented professional to support important firm-wide learning initiatives by optimizing platform performance, providing responsive user support, and collaborating with key stakeholder functions—all while maintaining system integrity, data accuracy, and strong governance.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

System Oversight, Governance, & Optimization: Serve as the primary administrator for the firm's LMS, strategically managing system configuration, users, groups, branches, roles, and permissions. Configure and maintain pages, menus, channels, and assets to deliver a consistent, intuitive, and engaging learner experience. Monitor and ensure robust data privacy and security within the system. Create and maintain clear LMS documentation and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage the LMS vendor relationship, including participating in testing, validation, and rollout of innovative new features, updates, and releases. Recommend and implement impactful process improvements to enhance system efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience. Conduct regular system checks to proactively monitor performance, identify bugs or technical issues early, and coordinate resolution with internal IT teams and external vendors. Conduct periodic reviews of LMS taxonomy, content organization, and related governance standards to ensure consistent adherence across the system.

Training & Troubleshooting Support: Coordinate and lead dynamic training sessions for end-users and department-specific internal LMS administrators. Create documentation and best practices for LMS usage. Support strategic change management communications for implementation, adoption, significant LMS updates, enhancements, or process changes that impact administrators and/or end-users. Proactively manage and resolve technical issues for learners and administrators. Liaise with the LMS provider on escalated issues, serving as a trusted point of contact for stakeholder functions and learners until issues are resolved.

Content & Data Analytics Support: Collaborate with internal administrators to resolve issues related to managing day-to-day LMS operations, including course set-up, enrollments, learning plans, certifications, and automated workflows. Partner with LMS administrators to develop innovative frameworks for advanced reporting and analytics. Analyze system-wide metrics and trends—including user populations, frequency of use, engagement patterns, and content utilization—to generate actionable insights that shape strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Translate LMS data into meaningful business intelligence, partnering with stakeholders to identify opportunities and inform long-term learning strategy.

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or related field. 7+ years of experience implementing and maintaining enterprise-wide learning system or comparable learning technology.

Skills and Experience

Hands‑on experience administering LMS platforms. Experience with Docebo LMS is a plus. Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, SSO. Experience with basic IT troubleshooting. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Effective problem‑solving skills. Experience creating engaging designs and layouts within learning systems. Effective communication and client service skills, to support and collaborate with users, administrators, and vendors. Knowledge of latest learning technology trends.

Salary Information

NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $165,000 to $200,000 at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible. Simpson Thacher will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
