Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service seeks a Landfill Operation Manager to oversee daily operations at our Midshore I and II landfills and two related drop-off sites. This role ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient waste management practices across facilities in Maryland.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 6 years of landfill management experience, and SWANA MOLO certification, plus a valid driver's license with few points.

• Coordinate safety, scheduling, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within the Environmental Operations Group.

Job Description:

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Landfill Operation Manager within our Environmental Operations Group. This position is responsible for the overall management and coordination of day-to-day operations at Maryland Environmental Service's two Subtitle D landfills, Midshore I and Midshore II, as well as two co-located homeowner drop-off facilities.

This position will be open until filled.

Estimated Pay Range: $84,935.76 - $116,800.32

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field, plus 6 years of solid waste landfill management experience, and valid SWANA MOLO (Manager of Landfill Operations) certification.
• Note: Applicants may substitute additional experience as defined above at the rate of one year of experience to one year of education, for up to four years of the required education.
• Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
