Job summary

Kuakini Pathologist LLC is seeking a Senior Laboratory Operations Manager to oversee all facets of the Laboratory Department. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure services meet established policies and regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, NAACLS terminology training with clinical hospital exposure, ASCP certification, and a Hawaii license, plus 5+ years in a clinical lab and 3+ years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in allied health, physical or biological sciences.
• NAACLS-accredited Medical Terminology program with clinical hospital training.
• Certification by a national board such as ASCP.
• Hawaii Clinical Laboratory Technologist and/or Supervisor License.
• Minimum five (5) years experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Minimum three (3) years supervisory/administrative experience.

Work Hours

Regular Full-Time (Req# 2026-277)Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with 24-hour on-call status 7-days a week. Periodically extended hours or a modified schedule may be required. Flexible availability is required.

Description of Position

Responsible forall aspects of departmental operations including bidgeting, planning, directingand staffing, for the Laboratory Department. Ensures the development andprovision of departmental services in accordance with established policies,standrds and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’sdegree required, preferably in allied health, physical or biologicalscience. Successful completion of a National Agency on Accreditation forClinical Laboratory Scientists (NAACLS)- accredited Medical Terminologyprogram, including clinical training in an accredited hospital, required.Clinical training must include chemistry, hematology, microbiology,parasitology, serology, immunology/Blood Bank and Urinalysis.Certification by a reputable national board of registry such as the AmericanSociety of Clinical Pathologist is required. Hawaii Clinical LaboratoryTechnologist and/or Supervisor License is required. Minimum five (5)years experience in a clinical laboratory required. Minimum three (3)years supervisory and administrative experience required. Affiliationwith managerial associations desirable; or any combination of education andexperience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities tomeet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of thisposition.

Salary Range

$100,940 — $109,180
