Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director, the Manager oversees departmental operations of the Laboratory. Performs administrative duties including oversight and compliance of point of care testing and affiliated offsite areas. Monitors operations to ensure safe, efficient, and quality performance standards for employees, patients, and visitors. Collaborates with nursing, administrative, medical, and other staff to coordinate patient care activities, supporting the facility's mission, achieving customer satisfaction, and identifying system improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university in Medical Technology or a closely related field.
• Minimum Experience Required: Five (5) years of clinical experience, including at least two (2) years with supervisory responsibilities, preferably in an acute care hospital setting. Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for.
• Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law: Certification in medical technology; certification as a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), AMT, or AAB. AAB provisional certification not accepted.
• Additional Qualifications: A Master of Business Administration or Health Administration is preferred.
