Job summary

Centene Corporation seeks a seasoned Portfolio Manager to lead IT portfolio planning, governance and execution across multiple programs. You will align technology initiatives with business strategy, drive portfolio analysis, and coach staff to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, PMP certification, and strong leadership and communication skills.

• PMP certification required.
• Governance of Enterprise IT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, management and optimization of portfolio, program and project management methodologies.
• Manage the development portfolio strategy and analysis deliverables and processes.
• Build partnerships, based on trust and transparency, within IT and the various business units.
• Facilitate the portfolio management processes to ensure strategic alignment on technologies and goals.
• Develop and execute a portfolio change control, risk management and communications strategy.
• Manage the hiring and training of new and existing staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership, technical guidance and coaching.
• Share knowledge and develop staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of business issues and best practices.
• Develop and communicates organizational objectives; inspires and motivates team members to achieve results.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Position Purpose: Responsible for understanding the business, assisting in the prioritization of projects, auditing project alignment with overall technical or business strategy, guiding resource allocation, and supporting the development of project or program execution plans. Manages Agile / Lean portfolios and supports overall strategy, investment funding, Agile portfolio operations, and Lean governance. Applies the concept of lean thinking to program and product and coaches stakeholders on these concepts to achieve objectives.

Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Master's Degree preferred

Pay Range: $102,900.00 - $190,500.00 per year
