Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 8–10 years of Network Engineering experience, including 3–5 years in a management/leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead network operations, engineering strategy, and service reliability in a 24x7 environment.
  • Plan, coordinate, direct, and design operational activities of the IT Network Engineering team (LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, cloud connectivity).
  • Develop and maintain industry best practices to secure network infrastructure and remote access capabilities.
  • Develop strategies, standards, and procedures to maintain secure defenses across internal, external, branch, data center, cloud, and remote environments.
  • Oversee network architecture and designs to ensure availability, performance, redundancy, and security, in line with enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership, security, infrastructure, application, and business stakeholders to implement cost-effective network solutions.
  • Serve as primary liaison between IT Network Engineering and other teams; manage deliverables to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Manage relationships with carriers, ISPs, vendors, and MSPs to ensure operational excellence.
  • Implement network performance metrics, availability reporting, capacity planning, and SLA monitoring.
  • Monitor project progress and report findings to leadership; stay current with tech developments.
  • Provide after-hours support for maintenance, upgrades, incident response, and changes.

Manager, Network Engineering key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing network operations, engineering strategy, and service reliability in a 24x7 operating environment.
  • Plans, coordinates, directs, and designs operational activities of the IT Network Engineering team, including LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, cloud connectivity, and network services.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining industry best practices to secure network infrastructure, perimeter defenses, segmentation, and remote access capabilities across the organization.
  • Continually develops strategies, standards, and procedures to maintain secure network defenses against unauthorized access to internal, external, branch, data center, cloud, and remote connectivity environments.
  • Oversee network architecture and technical designs that provide high levels of availability, performance, redundancy, and security while complying with enterprise architecture standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Works closely with IT leadership, security, infrastructure, application, and business stakeholders to identify, recommend, implement, and support cost-effective network technology solutions.
  • Serves as primary point of contact and liaison between IT Network Engineering, Information Security, Infrastructure, Operations, and business technology teams.
  • Manages all the deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets.
  • Manage relationships with telecom carriers, internet service providers, network vendors, and managed service providers to ensure operational excellence and reliable connectivity.
  • Implements network performance metrics, availability reporting, capacity planning, SLA monitoring, and periodic reporting for leadership.
  • Monitors and tracks project progress and reports findings to leadership.
  • Ensures staff keeps current with technological developments within the industry.
  • Provide after-hours support for network maintenance, upgrades, patching, incident response, outage resolution, and change implementation.
Manager, Network Engineering Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 8-10 years of Network Engineering experience, including 3-5 years of Management experience in a technical role required.
Manager, Network Engineering Compensation

$153,830.00 - $162,917.00
