POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Manager serves as the primary point of contact for campus technology needs, providing responsive technical support to staff and students across the district. This position troubleshoots hardware, software, network, account-access, and classroom technology issues; manages help desk requests; installs and maintains district devices; and supports technology inventory and infrastructure operations. The ITManager works closely with campus administrators, the Director of IT, and other district teams to ensure reliable systems, secure technology practices, accurate documentation, and consistent, customer-focused service across all campuses.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Serve as the point of contact for campuses regarding IT issues and support requests.
  • Monitor and resolve IT help desk tickets in a timely and professional manner, escalating as necessary.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance to staff and students for hardware, network, and peripheral device issues.
  • Maintain strong communication with campus administrators and staff regarding the status of support requests.
  • Log, track, and document all service requests, issues, and resolutions using the district’s ticketing system.
  • Assist with the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of network equipment, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
  • Support routine network diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure system uptime and performance.
  • Help implement upgrades, patches, and firmware updates to network and infrastructure devices.
  • Provide assistance with cabling, port mapping, and maintaining network closets.
  • Install, configure, and maintain district devices, including laptops, desktops, printers, projectors, interactive panels, and other classroom technologies.
  • Support the imaging, inventory, tagging, and distribution of hardware according to district guidelines.
  • Perform basic hardware repairs or coordinate warranty service with vendors as needed.
  • Assist in managing user accounts, email access, and permissions for staff and students in systems.
  • Support rostering and access issues with learning and operational platforms.
  • Troubleshoot login and connectivity issues for users on district-supported systems.
  • Follow cybersecurity protocols and assist in enforcing secure access to devices and systems.
  • Report any suspicious activity or vulnerabilities to the Director of IT Network and Infrastructure.
  • Support users in adhering to data privacy policies and responsible use guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of campus technology inventory, including device status and location.
  • Assist with annual tech audits and hardware refresh logistics.
  • Document troubleshooting procedures and maintain knowledge base content for recurring issues.
  • Work closely with the Director of IT and other specialists to ensure consistent service delivery across campuses.
  • Coordinate with the digital learning team to ensure technical readiness for instructional tools.
  • Build positive relationships with campus staff and maintain a high standard of customer service.
  • All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in IT support, network administration, systems administration, or technology operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, parents, and other stakeholders
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into focus; judge distance (close and distant); reach with arms extended and use hands to manipulate the keyboard, smart board and other classroom technology.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds, including but not limited to books, paper, and instructional materials/supplies.
  • This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, and/or the ability to be mobile.
  • Ability to travel throughout the district and city as needed by means of personal/private or public transportation in compliance with the state's department of motor vehicle and/or public transportation laws.
