Job Description:
Job Title:IT Application Assessment & M&A Integration Manager
Overview / Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on IT professional to support post‑merger technology integration by assessing and comparing application portfolios across two organizations. This execution‑focused role is responsible for building a comprehensive application inventory, identifying rationalization opportunities, documenting dependencies and risks, and providing recommendations that support the combined technology roadmap. The role works closely with technology and business stakeholders across global teams and reports findings to technology integration leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of applications across both organizations, including front‑office, middle/back‑office, data & analytics, CRM, and corporate systems.
  • Apply a structured application rationalization framework (e.g., Tolerate / Invest / Migrate / Eliminate) to classify applications based on business value, technical fit, cost, and regulatory relevance.
  • Identify redundant, overlapping, or conflicting systems and document consolidation, migration, or decommissioning recommendations with supporting rationale.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to validate application inventories and assessment findings throughout the integration process.
  • Document application dependencies, integration points, data flows, and vendor/licensing contract terms relevant to technology due diligence and Transition Service Agreements (TSAs).
  • Contribute to technology synergy and cost‑savings initiatives by quantifying application rationalization opportunities and estimated timelines.
  • Coordinate with enterprise architecture, security, and vendor management teams to validate findings and identify integration risks.
  • Prepare executive‑ready documentation, trackers, presentations, and recommendations summarizing the application landscape and proposed next steps.
Required Qualifications
  • 6–10 years of IT experience, including direct experience supporting technology due diligence, application portfolio assessment, or post‑merger integration activities for M&A transactions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading application rationalization initiatives using the TIME framework or an equivalent methodology within a large, complex enterprise environment.
  • Experience in financial services or asset/wealth management technology environments strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise application landscapes, including CRM, trading/portfolio management systems, data & analytics platforms, risk & compliance systems, and ERP/HR/finance systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work from incomplete or inconsistent data across multiple organizations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across matrixed, cross‑border teams.
  • Prior experience working with an Integration Management Office (IMO), enterprise architecture function, or consulting‑style M&A integration engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a Big Four or management consulting firm's Technology M&A or IT due diligence practice.
  • Familiarity with asset or wealth management platforms such as Aladdin, Eagle, Charles River, SimCorp, or equivalent investment management systems.
  • Experience with cloud migration planning and legacy application decommissioning.
  • Experience operating under Transition Service Agreements (TSAs) in a carve‑out or acquisition integration environment.
