Job summary

Yusen Terminals LLC, based in Terminal Island, CA, seeks an experienced IT Manager to lead planning, execution and management of all information systems infrastructure for IT and OT environments at the Los Angeles terminal. The role emphasizes vendor management, system stability and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT infrastructure, strong Windows/Linux admin skills, and familiarity with data privacy and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in IT project or infrastructure management roles.
• 5+years’ experience in Windows and Linux system administration.
• Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws.
• IT experience in maritime technical operation, logistics or related industry preferred.
• Excellent written, collaborative and oral communication skills.
• Proven track record of maintaining IT structural integrity.
• Experience in high-pressure, 24/7 environments.
• Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products.
• Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks such as NIST and SOC-2 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Planning, organizing, execution and management on all aspects of information systems infrastructure.
• Vendor management, implementation, enhancement, maintenance, system stability, customer delivery requirements.
• Develop and manage systems supporting both IT and OT environment.
• Design short and long-term plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets current and future needs.
• Implement continuous improvement processes to facilitate and document changes and prevent system downtime during upgrades and necessary system enhancements.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis across interconnected systems.
• Provide leadership by instructing, directing, and checking the work of other engineers including 3rd party engineers.
• Manage expenses and control within infrastructure area.
• Implement daily process to ensure that the terminal operates with maximum uptime and effectiveness.
• Periodically provide progress reports about the status of current and planned initiatives.

• Perform other job duties as required.

Yusen Terminals LLC (“YTI", based in Terminal Island (Los Angeles), CA, is an affiliate of Ocean Network Express(ONE) with headquarters’ office in Singapore.

YTI operates a state-of-the-art marine container terminal in the Port of Los Angeles. YTI was established in 1991 at the Port’s Berths 212-218. Overview:

Reporting to the General Manager of IT, theManager,ITis responsible for planning, organizing, execution and management on all aspects of information systems infrastructure. This includes vendor management, implementation, enhancement, maintenance, system stability, customer delivery requirements as related to the infrastructure stack for the company.

What you will do:

• All employees are expected to lead by example and adhere to safety procedure


• Develop and manage systems supporting both IT and OT environment.


• Design short and long-term plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets current and future needs.


• Implement continuous improvement processes to facilitate and document changes and prevent system downtime during upgrades and necessary system enhancements.


• lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis across interconnected systems.


• Analyze and revise existing difficulties in system logic: provide documentation as necessary. Have full technical knowledge of all phases of systems analysis.


• Provide leadership by instructing, directing, and checking the work of other engineers including 3rd party engineers.


• Manage expenses and control within infrastructure area.


• Implement daily process to ensure that the terminal operates with maximum uptime and effectiveness.


• Periodically provide progress reports about the status of current and planned initiatives.

What you will bring:
