Responsibilities

  • Overall project schedule management and reporting for the region — manage the project pipeline and provide biweekly progress updates. Guide and influence franchisees on timely completion and accurate reporting. Enter project milestones into Wendy's project management system.
  • Relationship owner with franchisee and Wendy's Real Estate, Design and Construction teams — collaborate with franchisees' construction, design and operations teams during construction and post-construction phases, scheduling and facilitating meetings.
  • Manage the overall project workflow with meetings as key preestablished milestones.
  • Assist the Wendy's design team on the submittal process for approval of alternate materials.
  • Ensure adherence to Wendy's standards and design approvals by the Wendy's design team.
  • Cost management and value engineering (VE) support — collaborate with the franchisee construction team on budget reviews and VE opportunities.
  • Prepare and upload budget forms to Wendy's document control software with detailed CAPEX information.
  • Analyze FZ CAPEX costs and benchmark with regional competitors.
  • Provide budgeting and VE support for Wendy's current and upcoming designs.
  • Identify market and franchisee-specific VE opportunities and implement solutions at market and regional levels.
  • On-site QA/QC — perform on-site or virtual construction and post-construction reviews to ensure completion per approved drawings, on schedule and per brand quality requirements. Capture corrections and inform opportunities to franchisees and the internal design team.
  • FF&E supply chain support — assist in managing the international supply chain and procurement of additional suppliers for equipment, finishes and furniture to increase supplier options.
  • Franchisee support activities — support preparation of construction and project management manuals, processes, workflows and conduct regional training sessions for franchisees.
  • Brand support and strategic initiatives — assist in the preparation and update of brand standard guidelines and strategic regional and global projects to support the broader business.

What you\'ll do

Overview: Leads restaurant regional growth by coaching, supporting and influencing franchisees, driving restaurant completion in a timely manner and to the highest quality. Acts as relationship owner for all construction and planning activities across Franchisee communications, identifying opportunities and setting priorities for the Design and Construction Teams in the Region, and serving as regional Wendy\'s Leadership representative for the Design and Construction teams. Serves as the regional design and construction leader and point of contact with the franchisee, sharing company design and construction tools, procurement updates and processes, and connecting with the franchisee at the appropriate leadership level to drive understanding and identify market opportunities. Leads a regional support team for the LAC Market. Manages and oversees the regional restaurant development process for new builds and reimages, from planning and design to construction and post-construction, ensuring timely completion of Wendy\'s restaurants with strong brand awareness and compliance. Leads strategic regional and global initiatives around broader business needs, process enhancements, KPIs, construction cost savings, FF\&E supply chain, design and other areas. Ensures the accuracy of the company\'s tracking systems and milestones in collaboration with franchisees, managing all design and construction milestones accurately and on time.

Pay Range: $105,000.00 - $184,000.00 Annually

Expected Work Location (Field): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at Wendy\'s Restaurants or other field locations as designated by the Company. When not working at a Wendy\'s location, you may work remotely. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will consider internal equity and budget for the open position and may vary depending on the candidate\'s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. The target annual bonus for this role is 20% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
