AESC Mission

Our mission is to solve the challenges for a sustainable future. Together, we can make a meaningful impact.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and technically curious Inside Sales Manager to support our utility‑scale energy storage (BESS) business. This role will focus on lead qualification, sales support, and opportunity management for large‑scale battery storage projects serving utilities, independent power producers (IPPs), developers, and EPCs. The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with account managers, engineering, and project teams to help drive project development from early‑stage inquiry through contract award.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound inquiries related to utility‑scale BESS projects (typically 10 MW to 500+ MW).
  • Support Account Managers to qualify leads by gathering project details such as project size, location, interconnection status, application (capacity, ancillary services, renewable integration, etc.), and project timeline.
  • Support the sales team by coordinating resources within the company to prepare proposal packages.
  • Work within the sales org and marketing department to assist in scheduling and planning related to both internal and external activities and industry trade shows.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasts, and customer communications within the CRM system.
  • Assist with RFP and RFQ responses, including data collection, document organization, and submission support.
  • Follow up with customers on proposals, technical clarifications, and commercial discussions.
  • Monitor utility‑scale market activity, policy drivers, and competitive landscape.
  • Support channel partners, EPCs, and developers throughout early project development phases.
What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of inside sales, sales operations, or commercial support experience; exposure to utility‑scale renewable energy, energy storage, power generation, or transmission & distribution preferred.
  • Familiarity with large infrastructure or capital equipment sales cycles.
  • Strong understanding of sales funnel management and CRM tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and commercial concepts clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple large‑scale opportunities simultaneously.
  • Self‑driven, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced project environment.
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of utility‑scale BESS components (battery containers, PCS, EMS, transformers, SCADA).
  • Understanding of grid‑connected applications such as frequency regulation, capacity, energy arbitrage, and renewable integration.
  • Experience supporting EPCs, utilities, IPPs, or project developers.
  • Familiarity with interconnection processes, permitting, and project development phases for utility scale ESS projects.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Bilingual of English and Mandarin is preferred.
What We Offer
  • An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development.
  • Highly automated, clean, safe, and temperature‑controlled production environment.
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance.
  • HSA and Flexible Spending Accounts.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Life Insurance (Company paid and additional voluntary life available).
  • Paid Vacation and 14 Paid Holidays.
  • Short‑term and long‑term disability coverage (Company paid).
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • Hands‑on exposure to complex, high‑value utility‑scale infrastructure projects.
  • Opportunity to work on large‑scale energy transition projects impacting grid reliability and decarbonization.
  • Competitive base salary with performance‑based incentives.
  • Comprehensive training in energy storage technologies and market dynamics.
  • Career growth opportunities within utility‑scale sales, project development, or commercial operations.
