Northrop Grumman Aeronautics System Sector is seeking a Manager of Industrial Engineering 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Aerospace Structures Business Unit (ASBU). This position will be located in Iuka, Mississippi or Dayton, Ohio.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead a team of 6-8 industrial engineers.
Provide technical and leadership support to the Industrial Engineering team.
Participate in site leadership meetings for Dayton, OH and Iuka, MS sites.
Collaborate with Operations and IPT leadership to develop tools for achieving business targets.
Drive strategic initiatives and tactical actions to improve program cost and schedule performance.
Deliver on short-term program requests while executing a long-term strategy for change.
Coach, mentor, and develop the industrial engineering team through meaningful tasks and feedback.
Administer performance reviews, merit increases, promotions, and skills inventory for Industrial Engineering employees.
Source key IEOM talent to ensure success of Business Unit goals.
Coordinate with other functional homerooms and shared service organizations for continuous improvement.
Oversee projects assigned to the cross-functional ASBU organization to ensure quality, schedule, and cost goals are met.
Create long-range planning and strategies for operations team, including staffing forecasting and recovery plans.
This role requires the ability to travel 25% to support two different sites.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional experience in industrial engineering or related field; OR a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
1 year of experience in direct management or leadership of people and/or projects.
Experience leading operations improvement initiatives resulting in cost savings.
Experience in manufacturing environments utilizing common infrastructure for multiple programs.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain special program access as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD secret security clearance.
Active PAR.
STEM degree.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing; at least 1 year in Shop Floor Operations.
Experience leading diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
3 or more years of leadership experience.
Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Estimate at Complete (EAC) experience.
Experience with NGAS Shop Floor Controls for various manufacturing product lifecycles.

Salary Range: $105,800 - $176,300
