Summary

The Manager in Training is responsible for assisting the Store Manager with overall operations and administrative duties. They should be knowledgeable in each product area or department and assist in implementing methods to achieve store goals. Upholds policies, procedures, and standards, promoting sales and creating a positive customer experience. The role involves serving as an ambassador for Hibbett I City Gear, providing outstanding customer service, and assuming supervisory responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in controlling store assets.
• Help establish action plans for sales, restocking, merchandising, and scheduling.
• Take responsibility for the store during the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to meet responsibilities and standards.
• Keep the Store Manager informed on inventory and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service.
• Perform administrative duties and be trained in Store Manager responsibilities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service as per the customer service manual.
• Promote and sell merchandise and services.
• Uphold all company policies and standards.
• Protect assets and financial information, ensuring internal controls are effective.
