Job summary

RNR Tire Express is seeking a Manager In Training (MIT) to embark on a structured development path toward store management. The program emphasizes cross-training across Sales, Accounts, and Shop while shadowing senior leaders and home-office staff.

Candidates will learn policies, reporting, and operational tasks, including order placement, protection claims filing, and P&L awareness. A valid driver’s license and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Previous Rent to Own and/or wheel and tire experience is desirable but not necessary.
• Must have a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Cross train in Sales, Accounts, and Shop departments.
• Shadow Directors and Home Office across functions.
• Learn and become proficient in department policies, processes, and filing procedures.
• Learn to place orders and coordinate with operations for issues; participate in Friday meetings.
• Develop skills to drive sales with outbound calls and marketing activities; track goals and performance.
• Learn monthly P&Ls and contribute to producing a functioning team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager In Training (MIT) will be trained extensively to be ready for store management placing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following:

• Cross train in each department: Sales, Accounts, and Shop.
• Shadow Sales Directors, Account Directors, Home Office, and Marketing/Internet Sales department.
• Learn and become proficient in the policies, processes, and workings of each department.
• Learn and become proficient in proper file completion as well as filing and tracking protection claims.
• Learn and become proficient in placing orders, contacting operations for issues needing to be fixed, holding Friday morning meetings, and knowing which forms are required by the corporate office.
• Learn and understand the monthly P&Ls.
• Responsible for learning how to drive sales with outbound lead calls, marketing using flyers, goal setting and tracking, and the art of creating excitement in the store.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations. Ability to manage a diverse group of employees and form a producing/functioning team.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software; Payroll systems; Internet software; and Database software.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a valid driver license and have a clean driving record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, grasping with hands, and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 30 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The duties of this position are performed in an office environment under temperature-controlled conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
