Job description

Requirements

  • One year of previous management experience in retail, preferably in wireless (Required)
  • Ability to lead and coach to deliver financial results
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Pass a pre-employment background check (qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered in accordance with laws)
  • High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years old

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of T-Mobile products, services, policies, systems, etc. (preferred)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-suite
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to train others and adapt to different learning styles
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback
  • Knowledge of store sales and operations to support team questions
  • Ability to explain Mobile Expert pay accurately
  • Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and retaining staff

Job Summary

The Manager in Training (MIT) program is a 90-day blended-learning program in our store locations. It covers all aspects of managing a T-Mobile Premium Retail Store, including supervising daily activities, performance management, staffing, and operational planning. The program includes monthly focus areas and regular feedback from managers. Successful completion leads to a Retail Store Manager role.

As a Manager in Training, you will:

  • Manage guest services, store operations, sales, profitability, merchandise, inventory, expenses, HR, and costs
  • Be familiar with hiring, scheduling, training, marketing, loss prevention, and leadership
  • Serve as the primary contact for store employees

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing store productivity and KPIs
  • Hiring and developing sales associates
  • Training staff on store systems and customer experience
  • Fostering a positive environment aligned with MobileOne's values
  • Coaching staff to build customer relationships and ensure excellent service
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing store
  • Staying updated on T-Mobile products and sales techniques
  • Ensuring customer needs are met and onboarding is successful
  • Using tools to develop internal talent and performance
  • Driving operational efficiencies to minimize risks and protect assets

Pay

$19.00/hr (plus potential store bonus)
