Manager In Training - Buddy's Home Furnishing

Come join our growing team! Buddy’s Home Furnishings is the third-largest Rent-To-Own (RTO) retail provider of furniture, appliances, electronics, and computers in the United States. Over the past five years, we have expanded aggressively, adding new company-owned and franchised stores nationwide.

Role Summary: The Manager in Training (MIT) / Management Trainee program is an entry-level position that serves as a vital stepping stone within our organization. Most of our store managers and leaders start as MITs. The role emphasizes actively performing job duties to become proficient in all aspects of the business. Training is provided, and you will be cross-trained in store management and operations.

This is an in-person position at a specified location. You must be over 21 years old to qualify.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Train to become proficient in all aspects of the business
  • Acquire and maintain customers
  • Drive store sales
  • Manage customer accounts
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Perform in-home delivery and setup
  • Handle inventory management
  • Manage accounts and collections

Requirements:

  • Must be over 21 to drive a vehicle (insurance requirement)
  • Effective organizational and communication skills
  • High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

  • Routine lifting, loading, and moving of merchandise (50-300 pounds)
  • Stooping, bending, pulling, reaching, and grabbing
  • Ability to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying items
  • Prolonged driving and standing
  • Ability to work in various climates and weather conditions
