McLaren Health Care in Grand Blanc, MI, seeks an experienced Imaging Services Supervisor to provide technical direction and administer imaging procedures in compliance with standards and regulations.

You will lead staff, monitor budgets, coordinate with other departments, and ensure high-quality patient care while driving efficiency and safety across the imaging services unit. This full-time role requires a bachelor’s degree, BLS certification, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Three years of job related experience.
  • Supervisory experience within the healthcare industry.
  • Registry in imaging discipline.
  • Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and administers directly, and through subordinate supervisory personnel, the effective management and delivery of diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with all hospital, system and regulatory agency standards.
  • Assists with ensuring quality, financial, and customer service objectives are met.
  • Assists with developing, and administering capital and operating budgets in order to meet agreed-upon departmental goals and objectives. Implements appropriate methods to monitor adherence to budgets and resolve variances.
  • Serves as technical resource to subordinates in resolving complex problems and in investigating and recommending corrective actions in response to incident reports and/or patient complaints.
  • Assists with recommendations for department equipment modifications, new supplies and minor equipment purchases.
  • Fosters smoothly running imaging services functions through timely and effective resolution of disruptions.
  • Ensures the attainment of objectives through the selection, development, training and evaluation of imaging services staff.

Provides overall technical direction and administration to imagingservices personnel, ensuring system of testing operates efficiently andeffectively.Regularly reviews andrevises, as necessary, imaging services standards and ensures diagnostic procedures performed comply with all hospital, system and regulatory agency standards.Coordinates provision of imagingservices with other medical functions and serves as technical resource for departmental personnel. As an expert in the assigned unit, is a resource personto both staff and physicians.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Ensures that all imaging services activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal and governmental regulations and laws.

Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • Three years of job related experience.

  • Supervisory experience within the healthcare industry.

  • Registry in imaging discipline.

  • Current BLS certification.

Preferred:
  • Current knowledge of ACR accreditation requirements and audits.
  • Certified Radiology Administrator

  • Knowledge of P4P impact on hospitals.
