Job summary

Datadog is seeking a strategic leader to own the Database Monitoring product roadmap, including AI features, while partnering with Product and engineering teams to deliver measurable value to developers.

You will hire, mentor, and develop engineering managers and staff engineers across multiple geographies, driving adoption and commercial success in a hybrid workspace. Datadog values collaboration and customer-centric execution.

Job description

The Database Monitoring product is one of the fastest growing products at Datadog. We are not only monitoring databases, but providing self-healing loops on to our customers. For instance, we are building an AI agent which detects, remediates, validates, and deploys optimizations. We are seeking ambitious leaders who want to drive these initiatives from the ground up and own the lines of business which rely on them.

You will help build and develop engineering teams, partner closely with Product, and help launch new capabilities that deliver measurable value to developers. AI-forward leaders with product engineering backgrounds will thrive in this role.

What You’ll Do:

• Launch new products and businesses into new markets.
• Drive adoption and business outcomes alongside technical delivery, using customer feedback and product data to guide investment.
• Continuously challenge the team to think about new vectors for market penetration. Our goal is to be in the toolkit of every company using a database.
• Own the roadmap of the Database Monitoring product, with particular emphasis on AI features and developer personas.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineering managers and staff engineers across multiple geographies.

Who You Are:

• You have hands-on experience partnering directly with customers to refine product experiences, find product-market fit, and coach teams through the process.
• You take ownership beyond product delivery, leading the go-to-market strategy and driving adoption and commercial success.
• You have a proven track record scaling exceptional product engineering teams: hiring, coaching, performance management, and building appropriate team structures.
• You have experience deploying applications on Postgres.
