Day & Zimmermann is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the HR function at a government contract site in Hawthorne, NV. The role focuses on labor relations, bargaining units, and compliance, advising senior leadership on talent and personnel decisions.

You will supervise the HR team, guide workforce planning, and manage critical hiring and succession planning within a regulated, unionized environment.

Qualificações

• Significant labor relations experience with multiple CBAs and grievance handling.
• Strong knowledge of employment law including SCA and NLRA.

We're looking for an experienced Manager, Human Resources.

The HR Manager leads the HR function for a complex, unionized government contract with multiple unions, bargaining units, and job classifications. The role provides strategic and operational HR guidance to senior leadership, with a strong focus on labor relations, grievance oversight, contractual and regulatory compliance, employee relations, and workforce planning. The HR Manager leads the site HR team and advises leadership on talent reviews, succession planning, critical hiring, and significant personnel decisions.

This position is located on site in Hawthorne, NV.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

• Significant labor relations experience, including administration of multiple collective bargaining agreements, grievance handling, and negotiation support
• Experience supporting government contracts or another highly regulated, contract-driven environment strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, including the Service Contract Act and National Labor Relations Act, HR compliance, employee relations, EEO/OFCCP requirements, and contract administration
• Experience leading or supervising HR professionals.
• Strong judgment, communication, investigation, problem-solving, and relationship‑management skills.

And if you have these qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience . Required
• 7+ years progressive HR experience supporting a complex workforce . Required
• PHR or SHRM‑CP , SPHR or SHRM‑SCP, Labor relations certification. Preferred

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the hourly pay range for this role is $87,120- $130,680. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
