Position Overview

Partners with physician leaders and administration in creating and implementing strategies, policies and programs that align physicians/providers in the region behind key affiliate goals. Serves as operational partner on policies and other physician matters. Operationalizes policies and programs for the physicians of the medical group. Requires a full understanding of business and financial practices of multi-specialty medical groups, recruiting and retention activities, compensation, contract negotiations and strategic planning activities.

Sutter Gould Medical Foundation is a not-for-profit health care organization dedicated to providing the highest level of care for our patients. Over 386 physicians in both primary and specialty practices provide outpatient services for residents in Stanislaus, San Joaquin and Merced County communities. With care centers in Modesto, Stockton and six other communities in the Central Valley, Sutter Gould is able to offer high quality medical care close to you and your family.

Job Description

EDUCATION:

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Bachelor's: Business Administration, Healthcare or related field.
  • Master's Preferred

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 8 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.
  • Requires a full understanding of business and financial practices of multi-specialty medical groups, recruiting and retention activities, compensation, contract negotiations and strategic planning activities.
  • Thorough understanding of operations and multiple department workflows
  • Ability to build and establish effective working partnership with employees, peers, leaders and physicians to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop and manage a budget.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service and achieving business results.
  • Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction.

Pay Range is $55.18 to $82.77 / hour. The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
