KnitWell Group is seeking an HR Leader to guide associates across the organization from its Fort Myers, FL offices. You will oversee employee relations, advise management on performance matters, ensure legal compliance, and develop constructive action plans with leadership.

The role emphasizes partnering with management, applying HR policies, and driving equitable treatment while handling complex employee issues with discretion and rigor.

Competenze

• BA/BS Degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 5–7 years in employee relations, preferably retail.
• PM, conflict resolution and team-building experience.
• PHR, SPHR or related certification preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Ability to rely on experience and judgment for associate relations decisions.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to develop positive partnerships and influence at all levels.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

This position is responsible for providing Human Resources leadership, guidance, and counsel to various levels of associates throughout the organization. This includes direction in the handling of associate issues, employment actions, performance management and state and federal statutes. Responsible for investigating reasons for issues/concerns and partnering with leaders to resolve them.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enables the successful implementation of HR strategy, products and services to business unit clients. Provides communication to client group regarding HR initiatives as applicable.
• Provides guidance to management in the handling of associate relations issues; exercises care that reasons are well documented and are not arbitrary or discriminatory.
• Ensures compliance with Federal & local statutes and company policy; keeps abreast of legislation affecting human resources and company guidelines; makes recommendations for required changes.
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of business/brand strategies and objectives, the competitive landscape, current and potential future business challenges.
• Creates effective teams and partnerships with appropriate HR and client groups to successfully accomplish goals.
• Partners with management regarding performance management; assist with development of constructive action plans, analyzes and process statistical results to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
• Researches and analyzes various human resources data relative to employment practices to ensure equitable treatment of associates.
• Responds to and documents associate issues reported through the Open Door and Ethics Hotline process. Investigates problems, allegations and complaints. According to the circumstances, provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS Degree Required; Master’s degree preferred
• 5-7 years recent experience in employee relations, preferably in a retail environment. Requires performance management, conflict resolution and team building experience
• PHR, SPHR or related certification preferred
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff at all levels
• Ability to rely on experience and judgment in order to make associate relations decisions
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to develop positive partnerships and influence at all levels of an organization
