Job summary

VB Spine seeks an accomplished HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic advisor to leaders, managers, and employees. You will deliver HR partnership across the business, focusing on talent strategy execution, employee engagement, change management, and workforce effectiveness while aligning HR solutions to business objectives.

You will support talent and engagement initiatives, coach on HR issues, and analyze HR data to drive culture and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with COEs and business leaders.
  • Demonstrated HRBP-level expertise and strategic partnership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as trusted HR partner to managers and leaders on ER, performance, compensation, talent acquisition, and change management.
  • Provide day‑to‑day HR support across the employee lifecycle with consistent policy application.
  • Execute talent/engagement strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Perform needs analysis on compensation, recruiting, and development; collaborate with COEs.
  • Facilitate difficult conversations and resolve escalated HR issues.
  • Coach leaders on HR topics and implement HR strategy solutions.
  • Interpret HR data and metrics to make data‑driven recommendations.
  • Implement programs to boost engagement, retention and high performance.
  • Apply change management techniques and enforce policies to mitigate risk.
  • Stay current on HR trends to inform decisions and drive results.

HR Business Partner

Location: Leesburg, VA (hybrid)

As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a strategic advisor to leaders, managers, and employees, delivering consistent and effective HR partnership across the business. This role blends strategic partnership with hands‑on support focusing on talent strategy execution, employee engagement, change management, and workforce effectiveness while aligning HR solutions to business objectives.


What You’ll Do


  • Serve as a trusted subject‑matter expert and partner to managers, directors, and business leaders, providing guidance on HR matters across employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent acquisition, and change management

  • Provide broad, day‑to‑day HR support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring consistent application of policies and a positive employee experience

  • Execute talent and engagement strategies to support business objectives, while ensuring practical and effective implementation

  • Perform needs analysis to identify gaps in compensation, recruiting, talent development, and change management; collaborate with senior HR leaders and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver tailored, scalable solutions

  • Facilitate difficult conversations, resolve escalated conflicts, build consensus, and settle disputes related to HR policies and practices

  • Coach managers and directors on HR and business‑related issues, proactively implementing solutions that align with HR strategy and business needs

  • Interpret HR data and metrics, analyze root causes of work environment issues, and make data‑driven recommendations to support organizational culture and performance

  • Implement programs, policies, and interventions to drive employee engagement, retention, leadership development, and a high‑performing culture

  • Apply change management techniques, interpret and enforce policies/compliance requirements, and mitigate organizational risk

  • Maintain broad knowledge of the business, labor market trends, and HR best practices to inform decisions and drive key business results

  • Support consistent delivery of HR services across the operating entity while partnering with stakeholders at all levels


What You Bring


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited university required; advanced degree preferred

  • 8+ years of progressive human resources experience required, including supporting multiple functions and interacting with COEs and business leaders

  • Previous demonstrated HR expertise at Manager or HRBP level preferred

  • Strong facilitation, consulting, relationship‑building, influence, negotiation, and project‑management skills

  • Proven business acumen and analytical ability with a track record of building relationships and influencing diverse groups

  • Demonstrated ability to implement and execute HR initiatives effectively

  • Capability to interact confidently with individuals at all organizational levels

  • Skilled in navigating change processes in complex systems

  • Strong conflict resolution, situational assessment, and objective evaluation skills

  • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficiency with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, handle multiple priorities, and communicate complex issues clearly
