Job description

McKesson is seeking a Manager, Gx Injectables Commercialization to lead commercial initiatives among our retail segment within our Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services (PSaS) business.

This role is responsible for driving growth, optimizing portfolio performance, and managing key retail accounts through data-driven strategies and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive strategic growth of the Generic Injectables portfolio within the retail account setting by developing and executing commercial strategies that align with evolving market dynamics, customer needs, and McKesson’s broader objectives.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for generic injectables, providing actionable market intelligence and product insights to internal teams and retail customers to support decision-making and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with ClarusOne to support product launches, supply chain coordination, and strategic sourcing initiatives that enhance portfolio competitiveness and ensure product availability.
  • Partner with Pricing and Finance teams to conduct proactive price reviews and develop competitive bids that address leakage, margin erosion, and customer retention challenges.
  • Lead targeted Inside Sales campaigns focused on CP&H customers, leveraging segmentation strategies and analytics to drive penetration and revenue growth across priority accounts.
  • Manage key retail GPOs and strategic retail accounts, developing tailored engagement strategies and business reviews that improve performance, satisfaction, and long-term loyalty.
  • Work cross-functionally with Business Development, Sales, and Marketing to identify and activate new commercial opportunities, including partnerships with emerging retail players and expansion into underpenetrated markets.
  • Collaborate with DC Operations to ensure alignment on inventory planning, fulfillment strategies, and service level expectations for injectable products, particularly during new product launches or promotional periods.
  • Support contract negotiations and renewals with retail customers, ensuring terms align with profitability goals, compliance standards, and strategic priorities across the organization.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and performance dashboards to monitor portfolio health, identify conversion opportunities, and inform strategic decisions related to pricing, product mix, and promotional efforts.
  • Lead commercialization efforts for new injectable products, including launch readiness, customer targeting, and internal coordination to ensure successful adoption and market impact.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring team members, identifying training needs, and fostering collaboration across departments to solve complex challenges and drive innovation.
Education & Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in 4-year degree in Marketing, Business, Sciences or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Critical Skills
  • 4+ years of work experience in Account Management, Product Sales or Sales Support role, preferably in Generic Pharmaceuticals.
  • Strong communication skills for both internal and external customers.
  • Highly organized & self-motivated with ability to multitask and prioritize workload under strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence individuals and exercise good judgement in a fast-paced decision-making environment.
  • Ability to think strategically, logically, analytically, and problem-solve.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, CRM Tools, BI & Tableau Dashboards.
  • Being able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to perform and deliver quality results within a highly matrix environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and spreadsheet analysis technique.
Working Environment
  • Able to travel domestically 10-25% of the time.
  • Remote work environment – Ideally in Irving, Texas area.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US unrestricted – This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
