Mighty & True seeks a Manager, Growth Systems Engineering to lead senior build work and engineering management guided by the founder. You will convert client work into scalable products, staff projects, and maintain hands-on coding in a modern stack.

You will own the technical stack, mentor junior engineers, and drive client scoping, estimation, and handoffs. The role emphasizes shipping day-sized increments and ensuring operability across teams.

Job description

Mighty & True is hiring a Manager, Growth Systems Engineering to take over the senior build work and engineering management our founder runs today.

Half the job is turning ideas from our client work into products we can sell, staff, and repeat. The other half is in front of clients, scoping and shipping them. You build with agentic coding tools daily and catch what they get confidently wrong.

What you will own

• Translate ideas and repeated client needs into technical plans, and decide what is genuinely productizable versus what should stay bespoke.
• Own the technical stack behind M&T's use of modern and agentic tools.
• Serve as the senior technical voice in client conversations: scoping, solutioning, estimation, and handoff.
• Make agentic and automated products operable by the broader team through training, documentation, and support models.
• Manage junior developers and contract engineering resources, and mentor the team toward independence.
• Ship production code in day-sized pieces, and resolve production issues in owned systems.

What we are looking for

• Ships production code with agentic coding tools every day, and owns the output.
• Working knowledge of a modern stack: TypeScript/Node, Supabase, Vercel, workflow automation.
• Has managed junior or contract engineers, and made systems operable by more than one person.
• Can be the senior technical voice in a client room. Scoping, estimating, translating trade-offs.
• Bias for shipping. Day-sized pieces, not month-long branches.

This role is fully remote and full-time. We are prioritizing candidates in Texas, with Austin preferred. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
