Job summary

Zygo Corporation in Middlefield, CT, is seeking a Manager, Global Sourcing to shape and execute a global strategy that strengthens supply chain resilience and drives cost competitiveness. You will lead a team of commodity managers, optimize the global supply base, and deliver improvements in cost, quality, and delivery.

Eligible candidates have 5–10+ years in manufacturing sourcing, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (MBA preferred), and strong negotiation and analytics skills.

• 5–10+ years leading sourcing/procurement in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Strong analytical, financial, contract management, and decision‑making skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data‑driven sourcing strategies.
• Experience managing supplier networks in low‑cost regions and navigating global supply chain complexities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing and category strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sourcing professionals while driving a high‑performance culture.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, including supplier consolidation and long‑term partnership initiatives.
• Enhance supply chain resiliency through dual/multi‑sourcing strategies, localization efforts, and risk mitigation plans.
• Drive annual cost reduction initiatives through negotiation, competitive sourcing, supplier development, and value engineering.
• Establish supplier performance metrics and lead continuous improvement efforts across quality, delivery, cost, and innovation.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Planning to support production, new product introductions, capacity planning, and strategic business initiatives.
• Monitor sourcing KPIs and provide leadership with strategic insights and recommendations.

As the Manager, Global Sourcing, you are responsible for shaping and executing a global sourcing strategy that strengthens supply chain resilience, drives cost competitiveness, and supports business growth. • Experience managing supplier networks in low‑cost regions and navigating global supply chain complexities.
