Manager, Global Partnership Operations (Regular, Full-Time)

Development

Reporting to the Head of Director’s Strategic Initiatives, Asia / Director of Principal Gifts, the Manager of Global Partnership Operations is responsible for creating and maintaining systems to cultivate and steward LACMA’s international donors, patron groups, and partner institutions. This role manages the operational aspects related to international donors and prospects, ensuring partnership and donor agreements are fulfilled and engagement is strengthened. Key responsibilities include writing and designing proposals, facilitating agreements, managing invoicing and receipts, coordinating events, planning travel, and overseeing data systems related to global partnerships, prospects, and donors.

The Manager oversees services and systems for LACMA’s global donors and prospects, collaborating with internal departments and external vendors to plan, track, and execute projects related to global partnerships, prospects, and donors.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage reminders, invoicing, event invites, receipting, and acknowledgment for global partnerships and donor giving in collaboration with the Head of Director’s Strategic Initiatives, Asia / Director of Principal Gifts.

  2. Oversee internal planning calendars for global partnerships, projects, and programs.

  3. Track milestones and manage deadlines for global projects, especially event production and travel schedules.

  4. Collaborate with LACMA’s Graphic Design team to create and manage collateral for global partnerships, projects, and programs.

  5. Work with the Senior Vice President to develop, build out, and submit annual budgets.

  6. Create customized proposals and presentations using InDesign.

  7. Coordinate with LACMA’s exhibitions team to track the fulfillment of collaborative exhibitions and programming schedules.

  8. Manage and update strategic plans for global partnerships and donor fulfillment.

  9. Oversee fulfillment of global partnership and donor recognition and benefits, including catalog mailings, training sessions, tours, and art fair passes.

  10. Conduct research and generate profiles for strategic services.

  11. Maintain mailing lists and systems for large-scale communications.

  12. Collaborate with Strategic Services colleagues to maintain and improve data and list integrity in Tessitura.

  13. Manage the global partnerships email account.

  14. Regularly evaluate and improve processes and efficiencies within systems.

  15. Support additional development-related events as needed.

  16. Interface directly with donors as required to fulfill duties.

  17. Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

  18. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

  • Hourly rate ranges from $26.50 to $29.92, subject to change, with eligibility for LACMA’s comprehensive benefits, including a pension plan.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Art History, Art Administration, English, Business Administration, Psychology, Marketing, or Political Science.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with an art gallery, auction house, or museum.

  • Experience servicing clients or patrons with high responsiveness and quality.

  • Experience with international travel.

  • Experience using Tessitura or similar donor management software.

  • Basic knowledge of InDesign.

  • Ability to create proposals with text and images.
