Job summary

You will partner with HR, Recruiting, Finance and External Partners to shape relocation and immigration programs, deliver strategic insights, manage compliance and vendor relationships, and grow the mobility team.

Qualifications

Manager, Global Mobility

the company is seeking a Manager, Global Mobility who is excited to join the Global People team to contribute to the growth and scale of the company. Our ideal candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, is highly data-driven, analytical, takes ownership, works collaboratively and is not afraid to roll-up-their-sleeves to get work done. This role is a new role at the company and will be located in San Francisco, CA.

This role will partner closely with HR teams, Recruiting teams, Business Leadership, and External Partners to drive and set the direction of our Global Mobility strategy which seeks to enable the business and fuel the growth of our employees. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational insights into the design, structure, and support of our mobility efforts which are focused on relocation and immigration matters, and set the direction for and grow the mobility team.

What you will do
  • Strategy and policy. We don’t just write policies; we build frameworks that help the company scale. You’ll iterate on our global mobility guidelines to ensure they stay competitive, reflect our culture, and make it easy for team members to move where they can have the most impact.
  • Leadership accountability. At the company we hold our leaders accountable for building and growing their teams, setting a clear direction, and defining success. You will shape the team, magnify those around you, and deliver great results.
  • Stakeholder collaboration. At the company, we work as one team. You’ll partner closely with the People, Finance, Tax, and Payroll teams to make the move “behind the scenes” as smooth as the move itself. You'll bridge the gap between different teams to keep things moving fast.
  • Compliance. You’ll navigate the complexities of global immigration, tax, and legal requirements. Your goal is to provide clarity and peace of mind for our team members and their families, ensuring every move is set up for success from day one.
  • Financial management. We treat the company’s resources with respect. You’ll create clear cost estimates and manage the investment in relocation, constantly looking for ways to sharpen our spend while ensuring we never compromise on the quality of the experience.
  • Vendor management. You’ll partner with relocation experts, immigration firms, and tax consultants. We view our vendors as an extension of our team, so you’ll hold them to high standards to ensure they provide a seamless, high-quality experience to our colleagues.
  • Team member support. Relocating is a big life event. You and the global mobility team will be a steady, human point of contact for team members and their families—helping them navigate everything from housing and schooling to settling into a new culture. You’re there to solve the "I don't know where to start" problems.
  • Data and reporting. You’ll maintain a clear, honest view of our global mobility data. You’ll provide the insights we need to make better decisions, assess our work to measure our impact,, and inform how we’ll iterate on our current program offerings.
Who you are
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in global mobility and/or human resources, and leading teams required.
  • A builder who embraces the science and art of building and applies both to creating something unique that is truly the company.
  • An analytical thinker with high data literacy and ability to transform data into actionable guidance that supports the the company business.
  • Someone who understands the complexities of immigration, tax, compensation, and benefits for international assignments.
  • Someone with knowledge of mobility programs, market trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices - you are comfortable not only looking around the corner at what is next but getting us to the next corner.
  • An energetic, self-starter with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Someone with experience and comfort working with global organizations.
  • Great communicator who adds clarity to complex topics.
  • A person with high integrity and ethics in handling confidential information.
  • Someone with a highly collaborative style and strong team orientation.
