Job description

POSITION PURPOSE

The Manager, Global Component Engineering leads a global team of engineered-component subject matter experts (SME’s) responsible for development, qualification, and continuous improvement of key components across all BAC product lines. This role, and the team it leads, reduces supply chain risk and total cost through qualification of alternate and backup suppliers for engineered components (eg fans, pumps, valves, specialized materials, etc), ensuring availability, resilience, and competitive sourcing across global regions. This role owns the end-to-end component engineering capability, including component selection, design integration, robust qualification (testing, validation, and documentation), and lifecycle management. The team ensures components meet performance, reliability, cost, and regulatory requirements while supporting both new product development and existing product platforms. The Manager establishes standards, processes, and metrics for component engineering and works cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure component solutions enable strong product performance and business outcomes.
