Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications operations, internal communications, project management, business operations, or related disciplines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including editing, proofreading, formatting, and content preparation.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with calendars, timelines, and approvals.
  • Experience managing communications channels and distribution across email, newsletters, SharePoint, Home site, Viva Engage, town halls, leader communications.
  • Experience developing and maintaining processes, trackers, metrics, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to partner with stakeholders across a global, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day execution of GD business operations communications activities.
  • Maintain the GD communications calendar, distribution lists, and trackers.
  • Coordinate Home postings, SharePoint sites, and channel governance.
  • Support reporting of KPIs and continuous improvement.

We are searching for the best talent for a Manager, Global Development Business Operations Communications, to be in Titusville, NJ; Raritan, NJ; New Brunswick, NJ; or Spring House, PA. This is a hybrid position that requires you to be on site three days a week.
Purpose

The Manager, GD Business Operations Communications is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution, coordination, and operational delivery of Global Development (GD) strategic messaging initiatives within the Business Growth, Innovation and Advocacy (BGIA) team.

This role partners with the Director, Global Development Strategy and Operations, the Sr. Director, GD Strategy & Operations, the VP, GD Bus Ops and Partnerships, and others across GD to support advancement of GD goals, strengthen culture, and reinforce key ways of working.

This includes overseeing core business operations communications, including management of the GD communications calendar, distribution lists, Home postings, SharePoint sites, newsletter article submissions, calendar invitations, town hall and meeting logistics, content preparation, approvals coordination, and follow-up on key deliverables.

The Manager helps support consistent messaging across the organization in areas including business operations priorities, execution of strategic initiatives, change management/organizational transformation and cross-functional business initiatives.

The Manager supports the execution of key employee engagement activities, including town halls, Senior Manager forums, leadership meetings, newsletters, and people leader communications. Working closely with stakeholders across GD, this individual coordinates deliverables and logistics to help ensure employees receive clear, timely, and consistent information across channels.

The Manager will also support the development, tracking, and reporting of metrics and key performance indicators, including quarterly business operations communications KPIs, to drive continuous improvement and effectiveness. The role provides additional support to the Director, Global Development Strategy and Operations as needed, while partnering with and leveraging self-service resources from the Innovative Medicine (IM) Communications & Public Affairs (CPA) team.

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of GD business operations communications activities, including planning, drafting, formatting/editing, coordinating inputs and approvals, preparing content for distribution, sending emails, managing calendar invitations, and tracking what needs to go out and when.
  • Maintain the GD communications calendar, global distribution lists, communications trackers, and follow-up processes to ensure timely execution and clear accountability. For execution, leverage Employee Communications Self-Service resources from IM CPA team.
  • Manage GD channels and platforms in partnership with enterprise teams, including serving as liaison to the Home team, coordinating Home postings, maintaining GD SharePoint sites, supporting channel governance, and ensuring content is current, accessible, organized, and aligned to enterprise and GD standards.
  • Support communications operations, reporting, and continuous improvement by developing, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators and metrics, including quarterly business operations communications KPIs.
  • Pull external engagement updates from the GD tracker for monthly updates to the Head of GD, maintain deliverables trackers, monitor progress against timelines, and identify opportunities to improve processes, templates, and standards.
  • Support GD forums, meetings, and employee engagement channels, including coordinating monthly GD Communications Council meetings, managing monthly newsletter article submissions, supporting Senior Manager town halls and GD town halls, coordinating logistics for leadership forums and other meetings, and supporting people leader messaging, toolkits, and related resources.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications operations, internal communications, project management, business operations, or related disciplines, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong editing, proofreading, formatting, and content preparation capabilities.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage communications calendars, timelines, approvals, and multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Experience managing communications channels and content distribution across platforms such as email, newsletters, SharePoint, Home, Viva Engage, town halls, and leader communications.
  • Experience managing intranet or content management platforms, including SharePoint and/or Home site content updates.
  • Experience developing and maintaining communications processes, trackers, metrics, and reporting tools to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across a global, matrixed environment and proactively follow up on open items to drive execution.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, consistency, and timely execution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Copilot; comfort working with AI.
  • Ability to support a Credo-based culture, including an inclusive environment.
  • Up to 20% travel, domestic and international.
Preferred
  • Preferred Area of Study: Communications, journalism, public relations / public affairs, business operations, or related area.
  • Preferred Related Industry Experience: Experience supporting communications operations, internal communications channels, content management, meeting logistics, metrics reporting, and/or process governance in a large, complex organization is preferred. Experience supporting pharmaceutical, healthcare, or R&D communications is preferred.
  • Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Other relevant experiences and skills may be considered by the hiring manager when considering the candidate's eligibility.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$102,000.00 - $177,100.00

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
